No benchmarks, no analogies in the industry, and over two years of hard work... We built Form Bio from the ground up, merging the latest in biology with seamless UX. The result? A revolutionary platform that not only advances gene therapy, transforming research, but does so with an interface scientists find compelling to use.
Product design
Our task was to take a complex vision and align it with a commercial strategy, transforming it into a marketable product. The challenge was much more than designing wireframes or iterating on existing solutions. We had to develop entirely new tools for biologists and bioinformaticians - tools that simply didn’t exist or were poorly executed. Numerous workshops with the client unveiled the full scope of this challenge.
The depth and versatility of the platform are truly groundbreaking. It’s not just one tool - it’s a Swiss Army knife for scientists. Every feature and every design decision was made to give users exactly what they need at their fingertips.

Many iterations and ideas later, the vision solidified. Once we had a clear concept, the next step was creating an interface that was not only functional but also visually engaging. Unlike many existing biotech platforms, which prioritize functionality at the cost of user-friendliness, we saw a unique opportunity to stand out by designing a product that was both intuitive and aesthetically appealing. This focus on design was critical in ensuring the platform delivered superior performance while offering a strong visual identity, setting it apart in a field known for complex, often unattractive tools.
The product design process was nothing short of reinventing the wheel. We tackled the challenge of reimagining tools that simply didn’t exist.
